Co-founders Eric Malka and Myriam Zaoui created The Art of Shaving by transforming a man’s daily shaving routine into a pleasurable, skin pampering experience. Over the last decade, the husband and wife team have revolutionized the men’s grooming industry with their innovative approach to retailing, natural product-formulation philosophy and cutting edge shaving tools.
It all started in the kitchen of their New York City apartment. Eric suffered regularly from razor burn, so Myriam, a Certified Aromatherapist, using her extensive knowledge of natural product formulation, created a new kind of shaving aid- a “pre-shave” oil to help protect his skin from the blade. A decade later, the brand has grown into a complete line of aromatherapy-based grooming products, and the only upscale brand that specializes in shaving.
The Art of Shaving formulates its products using high quality botanical ingredients and 100% pure essential oils. These ingredients provide therapeutic properties to the skin and mean that razor burn and ingrown hairs are avoided, while nicks and cuts are prevented and healed.
